So, I'm curious. How many of the blind Zoners out there have jobs. What do you do, and do you enjoy your job or are you at least content with it, even though it might have problems and frustrations? How many of you hate your jobs and dread going to work, but feel you are stuck doing what you're doing?

I had a job up until a few weeks ago as a word processor for an agency for people with blindness and other disabilities. Unfortunately business was very slow the last couple years, and they laid me off while I was on medical leave. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet about another job. I'd like to get my health issues under control before looking.

Very interesting topick.
I work at the organisation for the blind in my country as a sound engineer at their recording studio where they produce audio books and a talking magazine. I make sure the recordings we make are in good quality to be pubblished to the people who want the books or they want our magazine. I work there since november and i like this job but this is a temporary job because i plann to leave my country and move to England and live with my girlfriend when she finish her degree at her university. I will try and find a simmilar job in England to what i do now or something in radio.

I'm a technology instructor/evaluator for our States Division of Rehab Services. This is the last thing I ever thought I'd do. I absolutely love my work. I hate the paperwork and bureaurocracy, but teaching has always been a passion of mine.
